Bancroft has had an active Parent Teacher Association for many years. The PTA’s fundraising projects include a holiday tree sale on the school grounds. In past years, the PTA has raised money to install air conditioning in all classrooms and an audio system and sound proofing in the auditorium, rugs for classrooms and furniture for the art room. PTA members were also instrumental in winning funding for the new playground built in 2010 and in getting more resources for our school’s bilingual program. Last year (2010-2011) we purchased more Spanish books for the library. The Bancroft PTA meets several times during the school year. Family dues remain only $10 per year. The PTA board usually meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm.
